Sealed bids are requested for furnishing materials, labor, equipment, and skill required for the construction of CS-13(23)02 Grading and Aggregate Surfacing and incidental items. The work includes, approximately: Contract bond (1 LS); Common Excavation – Type C (110,000 CY); Topsoil (33,000 CY); Aggregate Surface Course (16,000 TONS); Pipe Conduit (various sizes); Mobilization (1 LS); Traffic Control (1500 UNITS); Fiber Rolls 12IN (12,000 LF); Seeding (35 ACRES); Straw Mulch (70 ACRES). All bids must be submitted on a cash payment basis for work and materials, with each bid accompanied by a separate envelope containing the contractor’s license and bid security (a bidder’s bond equal to five percent of the full bid amount). All bidders must be licensed for the full amount of the bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish Contract Performance and Payment Bonds for the full contract amount. Contracts will be awarded to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder for the aggregate sum of all bid items, and a single contract will be awarded. All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope, clearly marked with the work covered, the name of the bidder, a separate envelope with the bid bond and a copy of the Contractor’s License or renewal certificate, and acknowledgment of any addenda. Non-compliant bids will not be read or considered and will be returned unopened. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any informality, hold bids for up to thirty-five days, and accept the bid deemed most favorable to the Owner. Liquidated damages of $1,000 per day will be assessed for delays beyond the completion date.
