Site work for a water / sewer project in Simpsonville, Kentucky. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
This contract consists of installing one fire/meter vault and all other necessary appurtenances. Each bidder must accompany their bid with a bid bond in an amount of not less than five percent of the base bid. No bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of 90 days. The awarded bidder shall execute a 100% performance bond and a 100% payment bond and furnish insurance as required in the general conditions. The contract must be completed within 30 calendar days after the date of authorization to start work, and liquidated damages will be $800 per calendar day. Bidders must comply with Section 3, Section 109, Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Anti-Kickback Act, and the Contract Work Hours Standard Act. Bidders must certify that they do not and will not provide segregated facilities for their employees based on race, color, creed, or national origin. Bidders must have experience with similar projects in congested areas with multiple utilities, and a list of references will be requested and thoroughly reviewed. Any obviously unbalanced bid may be rejected, and the right to reject any and all bids and waive informalities is reserved.
