Site work and renovation of an educational facility in Winchester, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.

Contractor Qualification DCAMM Certificate Removal and replacement of select interior finishes and concrete repair of the first floor at Winchester High School. Question Deadline 06/12/2026 No oral interpretation of the meaning of the plans, specification or other bidding documents will be made to any bidder. Every request for such interpretation shall be in writing addressed to Jennifer Grubb, P.E. at jagrubb@sgh.com and, to be given consideration, must be received at least five (5) days prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids . The work contemplated by the Contract Documents includes the work of all trades required and all labor, equipment, materials, access, and supervision necessary and incidental to the work indicated. The following descriptions of the work represent a brief summary of the project. For additional and more complete information, refer to the Drawings and Specifications. 1. Project Mobilization: a. This work shall include General Contractor and subcontractor mobilization costs. Include permits, temporary offices, bonding costs, etc. 2. Project General Requirements: a. This work shall include all miscellaneous work associated with the completion of the work in accordance with the Construction Documents. This shall include, but not be limited to, incidental barricades, cleanup, dust and fume control, layout, equipment, waste disposal, documentation, obstruction removal and replacement, monthly and final as-built documents, closeout documents, and temporary water and utilities. B. Selective Demolition 1. Remove existing floor tiles, wall tiles, and partition walls. 2. Remove existing carpet, cabinets, doors, door frames, sidelights, glazing assemblies, and power receptacles, and store for reuse. 3. Remove the layer of existing underlayment and moisture mitigation underneath the demolished vinyl composite tile (VCT) to the bare concrete surface. C. Concrete Repair 1. Remove all unsound concrete in the areas marked for repair. 2. Remove all loose particles and deleterious materials from the exposed sound concrete, exposed reinforcing bars, and accessories by sandblasting. 3. Repair areas of spalled and/or delaminated concrete slab with concrete repair materials at marked locations (topside and full-depth). 4. Provide supplemental steel for concrete repairs. 5. Install a floor topping slab/underlayment material for areas with VCT flooring. D. Surface-Applied Corrosion Inhibitor (SACI) 1. Prepare the surface and apply corrosion inhibitor to the concrete repair areas and concrete slab in Building E hallway and Vestibule C-D11.1. E. Water-Based Sealer 1. Provide water-based sealer at the top surface of all concrete repair areas that will be exposed in the finished condition. F. Gypsum Board Assemblies 1. Install supplementary non-load-bearing steel framing, prefabricated knife edge cove framing, and blocking. 2. Install framed assemblies, including (but not limited to) slip-type head joints, door frames, sidelights, glazing assemblies, fire-resistance-rated partitions, and soundrated partitions. 3. Install and finish interior gypsum wallboard and acoustic insulation (sound attenuation batts). 4. Apply tile backing panels and install access panels. 5. Mark and identify locations for fire- and smoke-partitions. G. Tiling 1. Prepare the surface of the walls for tile installation. 2. Apply setting materials and accessories, including (but not limited to) waterproofing and crack-suppression membranes. 3. Install wall and base tiles with grout sealer. H. Resilient Flooring and Accessories 1. Install new moisture mitigation, if required, and self-leveling underlayment in all areas with new resilient flooring. 2. Prepare the substrate and install resilient flooring, resilient wall base, and accessories. I. Carpeting 1. Prepare the substrate and reinstall carpet tile and carpet accessories. J. Painting and Coating 1. Prepare surfaces and field paint exposed interior items and surfaces. K. Entrance Floor Mats 1. Prepare the substrate and install surface-mounted carpet-type matting. The Project value is estimated to be $230,000 Project is expected to commence on or about Monday, 13 July 2026, and be completed no later than Friday, 21 August 2026.
