This project includes reviewing samples of the existing structure to help understand scope for future SPC 4D upgrade of the existing Hospital building (BLD-01458). Work shall include all items described in the OSHPD Approved Plans and the Project Tests, Inspections and Observations Program. Each bidder must be licensed to do business in the State of California, possess a valid General Contractor’s license at bid submission, and maintain the license through completion of the project. Bidders must include with their bid a list of each subcontractor, their business location, and the scope of work assigned, meeting the requirements of the Subletting and Subcontracting Fair Practices Act. Bidders must also provide documentation of sample HCAI experience, sample Construction Safety/Logistics/Infection Control Plans, and a preliminary schedule. Each bid must be accompanied by a Cashier’s Check, Certified Check, or Bid Bond equal to ten percent (10%) of the Base Bid amount, guaranteeing contract signature and delivery of bonds. The successful bidder will provide a payment bond and performance bond, each for one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price, secured through a surety company approved by SBHCD. Minimum prevailing wage rates are required. Preference will be given to local businesses in San Benito County when bids are within five percent (5%) of the lowest bid. All requests for interpretation of the drawings and specifications must be submitted to the Architect in writing via email no later than five days before the bid opening date. Bids submitted orally, by phone, or by facsimile are not accepted. No bid can be withdrawn for sixty days after opening without SBHCD’s consent.
