This project includes applying a polymer modified rubberized chip seal followed by micro-surfacing on approximately 168,300 square yards of existing streets, removing and applying traffic stripe and markings, and all other work shown on the plans, as required by the specifications, and as directed by the Engineer. Contractor shall possess a Class A license at the time the bid is opened. No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for this project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code Section 1725.5. Each bid shall be made in accordance with the specifications and proposal requirements. No bid will be received unless it is made on a proposal form furnished by the City Engineer. Each bid must be accompanied by cash, certified or cashier's check, or original bidder's bond made payable to the City of Redding for an amount equal to at least 10% of the total amount of the bid as a guarantee that the contractor will execute the contract in conformance with the proposal and the specifications. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations.
