Furnishing of materials, labor, equipment, and skill required for the construction of Bituminous Seal Coat on Walsh County Highway 12A and incidental items. Estimated quantities and types of work include: CONTRACT BOND, 1 L SUM; FOG SEAL, 4,823 GAL; CRS2P EMULSIFIED ASPHALT, 46,200 GAL; COVER COAT MATERIAL CL 41, 1,203 TON; MOBILIZATION, 1 L SUM; TRAFFIC CONTROL SIGNS, 1,154 UNIT; PVMT MK PAINTED-MESSAGE, 52 SF; SHORT TERM 4IN LINE-TYPE NR, 13,880 LF; PVMT MK PAINTED 4IN LINE, 63,306 LF. All bids are to be submitted on the basis of cash payment for the work and materials, with each bid accompanied by a separate envelope containing the contractor's license and bid security. Bid security must be a sum equal to five per cent (5%) of the bid amount in the form of a bidder's bond executed by the bidder and by a surety company authorized to do business in the state. All bidders must be licensed for the full amount of the bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish Contract Performance and Payment Bonds in the full amount of the contract. Contracts will be awarded based on the low, responsible, and responsive aggregate bid. All bids must be in a sealed envelope, plainly marked with the work covered, name of the bidder, a separate envelope containing bid bond and a copy of the North Dakota Contractor's License or certificate of renewal, and acknowledgment of addenda. No bid will be read or considered which does not fully comply with these provisions. The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive any informality, hold all bids for 30 days, and accept the bid deemed most favorable. Liquidated damages of $900 per day will apply for failure to complete on time.
