The Housing Authority of the Cherokee Nation is seeking bids for the rehabilitation of one home located in Adair County. The work includes carpentry, drywall and finish, electrical, flooring, and roofing. The project must be completed within 30 working days, beginning within two weeks of notification. If the project extends past the contract end date, the contractor will be charged $100.00 per working day as liquidated damages. Mandatory requirements for bidders include full completion of the Mandatory Bid Response sheet and the Work Write Up. Preference will be given to bidders certified by the Cherokee Nation Tribal Employment Rights Office (TERO), with proof of certification required for preference consideration. Bidders must comply with Tribal rules and TERO regulations. A purchase order will be awarded to the responsible contractor submitting the lowest, most responsive bid in accordance with the Housing Authoritys Procurement Policy, subject to the availability of funds. Mandatory submittal instructions require that bids be delivered by the deadline. Bid acceptance is open to both Indian and Non-Indian bidders, and the Authority reserves the right to determine whether a bid meets the requirements and to reject any or all bids. Bidders are responsible for all costs associated with bid preparation and submission and may not withdraw bids for 30 days after the due date. TERO requirements apply, including applicable fees. Davis-Bacon Wage Rate #OK20260005 applies to the project and supersedes any state or tribal wage rates that exceed the corresponding federal rate.
