Renovation of a detention facility in Jackson, Louisiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.
Sealed bids are requested for replacing doors and windows in multiple buildings at Dixon Correctional Institute, Jackson, Louisiana. All bids must include bid security equal to five percent (5.0%) of the total bid amount (base bid and all alternates), in the form presented in the Instructions to Bidders. The successful bidder will be required to provide a Performance and Payment Bond as described in the Instructions to Bidders. Bids are accepted only from contractors licensed under LA. R.S. 37:2150-2192 for Building Construction. The Owner reserves the right to reject any bids for just cause. Provisions and requirements found in the bidding documents and LA. R.S. 38:2212(B)(1) apply and shall not be waived. Contractors are encouraged to participate in the Small Entrepreneurship (Hudson Initiative) and Veteran-Owned/Service-Connected Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Entrepreneurships Program. Complete bidding documents are available electronically. Printed copies may be arranged through reprographic firms at the cost of the plan holder. All questions about procedure must be directed to the Designer.
