The objective is to replace approximately 2.15 miles of 8-inch ductile iron water mains, upgrade sewer lines, and complete paving renovation on Fulton Street from Great Highway to 31st Avenue and various locations in San Francisco, California. The work includes water main installation, trucking, hauling, shoring, pavement restoration, sewer construction, saw cutting, and traffic control. All bidders must comply with San Francisco Administrative Code Chapter 14B regarding Local Business Enterprise (LBE) subcontracting requirements, which is 20% and must be met with CMD certified San Francisco Micro and Small-LBEs. PUC-LBEs and Prime or Joint Venture level LBE participation do not count towards this requirement. Certified LBE subcontractors must be listed for the specific scope of work they will perform. Bidders must submit documented Good Faith efforts with their bids unless they exceed the LBE requirement by at least 35%. Bidders are also required to complete and pass the SFPUC Safety Prequalification process prior to bid submission being deemed complete. A valid Class “A” California Contractors License is required, and each subcontractor must have the appropriate active licenses for their scope of work.
