The contractor is required to provide all labor, materials, equipment, and ancillary items necessary for the repair of mechanical systems, primarily pump repair and replacement. Tasks include, but are not limited to, replacement and repair of Feedwater and house pumps, provision of new duplex Feedwater pumps and associated equipment (motors, bases, valves, piping modifications, controls, electrical work), removal of existing pumps and associated equipment, reuse and modification of existing concrete foundations, insulation and removal of insulation on new/existing piping, testing of pumps and piping, painting, shut-down and restoration of water service and associated electrical and controls work, filing applications and obtaining permits, providing training and instruction, servicing existing Feedwater pumps and panels (including response to outages and replacement or repair of defective equipment), annual replacement and rebuilding of starters, and replacement of defective check valves. Bid Security is required at the time of bid submission in the amount of 100% of the contract minimum. Payment and Performance Bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract minimum are required of the winning bidder.
