The project is described as the demolition and removal of several pieces of rooftop-mounted HVAC equipment from Duncan Hall, Craig Hall, and the College Services Buildings at Virginia Western Community College, and the subsequent replacement of the same at those locations. The work includes demolition, removal, and replacement of associated equipment roof curbs; limited demolition, removal, and replacement of adjacent membrane roofing and roof insulation; limited demolition, removal, and replacement of associated HVAC service piping and ductwork; demolition, removal, and replacement of an existing domestic water heater in the College Services Building; and provision of Direct-Digital Controls (DDC) for the replacement equipment along with integration into existing campus control systems. Sealed bids are to be submitted electronically through eVA or delivered to Virginia Community College System. For shipping/mailing, use Suite 390; for hand delivery, use Suite 200. The deadline for submitting bids is 2:00 P.M. sharp on Wednesday, July 8, 2026. Bids will be opened publicly and read aloud at 2:00 P.M. on the following day at the same location. In-person hand delivery is supported at the stated location, and all visitors must sign in at the virtual receptionist in the main lobby. Bids may be modified as per the Instructions to Bidders using the provided fax number and email. A Standard Commonwealth Bid Bond (form CO-10.2) and Contract Security are required for any bid, regardless of the amount. The bidder or offeror must be a registered vendor in eVA. Contractors must process all Pay Applications/Invoices through the Owner’s web-based project management software, e-Builder. There is no fee to use e-Builder, and the Owner will provide support or training as necessary. A pre-bid conference will be held at the specified time and location; attendance is optional but highly recommended for those submitting a bid.
