Sealed bids will be received for the Orleans Parish School Board by the Procurement Department for Roof Replacement at Ellis L. Marsalis, Jr. School, 5625 Loyola Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70115, OPSB Project Number ITB No.: 26-FAC-0076. Bids received after the designated date and time will not be opened and will be rejected. Any person requiring special accommodations shall notify the Orleans Parish School Board of the type(s) of accommodation required not less than seven days before the bid opening. Complete bidding documents are available in electronic form from City Blueprint & Supply Co. Plans can be downloaded for free from the Project Planroom at www.cityblueprint.com. All bids must be accompanied by bid security equal to five percent of the sum of the base bid and all alternates, in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or the Orleans Parish School Board Bid Bond Form written by a surety company licensed to do business in Louisiana. Surety must meet the specified financial requirements. The successful bidder must furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the contract amount and meeting the specified requirements. Bids shall only be accepted from contractors licensed for the classification of Building Construction. Bidder must comply with all applicable provisions and requirements. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty days after receipt of bids. The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is not required but is highly encouraged, and bidders must state on the Bid Form that they are familiar with the project site.
