Separate sealed bids are requested for the project at Marigny Elementary School, involving the replacement of Fresh Air Units at the 200 and 300 Wings. Bidding documents are supplied by the Architect and may be obtained in person or electronically. Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the base bid and all alternates is required, submitted as a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond. The successful bidder is required to provide performance and payment bonds equal to 100% of the contract amount. Bidders must comply with Louisiana Contractors Licensing Law. The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids as permitted by law. Bidders may submit bids electronically according to Louisiana statutes. Owner owned dumpsters are not to be used for disposal. D. It is the Contractor's responsibility to protect all existing vegetation. Any trimming of shrubs or trees shall be accomplished by a licensed Arborist. The Contractor is responsible for hiring the licensed Arborist. E. St. Tammany Parish School Board staff must be notified if any building exit or driveway is to be blocked. F. Furnish a copy of the Contractor's Site Safety Plan and office phone number and cell number to St. Tammany Parish School Board. 1.2 WORK INCLUDED: A. All work shall be as described in these specifications and shown on the accompanying drawings. B. The work includes furnishing of all labor, equipment and materials needed for a complete project. This work shall be in accordance with the plans and specifications and the contractor is cautioned to carefully study the field conditions, the Contract Documents and the Bid Form. C. Description of Base Bid: The scope consists of HVAC equipment removal and replacement at the above noted STPSB campus location which includes: (6) DX Split Dedicated Outdoor Air System (DOAS) Air Handling Units (AHUs) and their corresponding Condensing Units (CUs). D. The Architect/Engineer is the Designer. Any location in the construction documents (drawings and project manual) where the term "Architect" or "Engineer" appears, it shall be considered the "Designer".
