Site work and outdoor lighting for a transportation facility in Porterville, California. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility; and for outdoor lighting for a transportation facility.
Furnish all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, and services for the Airfield Electrical Improvement Project, including general service of the electrical vault, removal and replacement of constant-current regulator, airfield electrical conduit and conductor, removal and replacement of elevated runway edge lights, removal and replacement of Runway End Identifier Lights (REIL's), and removal and replacement of pole-mounted area light fixtures. No bid will be accepted from contractors not duly licensed with a current Class A, General Engineering, State of California Contractor's license. All bids are to be submitted via the Public Purchase website by contractors registered as plan holders. The successful bidder must provide a performance bond and a labor and materials bond each in the amount of one hundred percent of the contract. The project is subject to Buy America requirements, prevailing wage and apprenticeship standards, federal and state wage requirements, registration with the California Department of Industrial Relations, and nondiscrimination requirements. Contractors have 25 working days to complete the base bid, with an additional 10 working days if Additive Alternate A is included. Liquidated damages of $1,000 per calendar day will be assessed for delays beyond the completion date. All federal, state, and local contract, civil rights, and labor laws apply as detailed in the instructions to bidders. No copies of plans or manuals will be provided by the City; documents are available electronically at the Public Purchase website. All correspondence and addenda will be managed electronically through the Public Purchase website. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to evaluate bids in the best interest of the City. Upon award, the successful bidder has ten days to complete required documentation and arrange a pre-construction meeting with the City. Question Deadline 06/25/2026 A bidder that has doubt as to the true meaning of a project requirement may submit to the Owner Engineer a written request for interpretation no later than four (4) days prior to the day of the bid opening .
