The projection system must allow for educational shows, be center-mounted to fit a 9.1 meter domed screen with a 0-degree tilt and 180-degree field of view, and be capable of projecting full-dome images at a native 4K resolution (3840 x 2400), with a minimum of 14,000 lumens and a contrast ratio up to 1,500:1 using commercial grade projectors. The system must include one host computer, one graphics processing computer, Digistar 2026 software, workstation license, software updates, warranty, premium media program (4 shows per year), and on-site installation and training (including travel costs). The vendor is required to provide a comprehensive list of all professionally developed shows produced in 2023-2025, with details on each show. Professional development opportunities, remote and on-site training, technical support, and a minimum one-year warranty on hardware and software are required. Installation, conversion of existing content, and comprehensive training of staff are to be included. Responsive technical support, 24-hour emergency telephone support, and remote diagnostic capability are required. All content, software integration, and system operations must meet specified technical standards for educational and planetarium use. Vendors must comply with all federal, state, and local laws, provide required forms and certifications, and adhere to Abilene ISD policies and procedures including those for safety, background checks, and decorum.
