Cold Mix Paver Wedging & Hot Oil Seal Coating Cold Mix Wedging: - The cold mix paving asphaltic material shall be MC, SC Asphalt, mixed in a plant equipped with weigh belt-conveyor and automatic computer-controlled proportioning of asphalt to aggregate. - All aggregates used in the asphaltic mixtures must be 100% virgin in nature. No recycled asphaltic aggregates will be accepted. - Cold Mix must be produced and used in a continuous operation; stockpiling for later use is not permitted. MS Hot Asphalt: - Resurfacing all sections approved by the town with PG 58-28 Cut Back. Liquid Asphalt is heated to 350 degrees and applied in a single pass up to 24 ft. width. - Cover aggregate must consist of 100% fractured black granite stone, applied in one pass up to 24 ft. width. - Contractor to provide cold mix pothole patching prior to seal coat application with a truck containing cold mix patch material and an operator to fill any potholes/voids necessary prior to the chip seal process. - Aggregate is to be compacted with a duo-packer consisting of both rubber and steel. List of Repairs: - Olden Rd (Oak Rd east towards Hwy 26 approx. 7,000 ft to fire number W1033): Cold mix wedging of various edges, lanes, and full-width sections using 374-396 tons. - Springbrook Rd (Hwy 44 end): Cold mix wedge/overlay of various sections (88-96 tons) and hot oil single seal coat over approx. 1,280 ft full-width over wedging. - Fletcher Rd (east of Springbrook Rd to Hwy 44): Hot oil single seal coat on approx. 1,500 ft x 4 ft and 550 ft total full-width sections. - Forest Lane Rd (Olden Rd north to stop sign): Hot oil single seal coat over various sections equaling 2,000 ft by full-width. - Center Rd (section near west end): Hot oil single seal coat, 700 ft x full-width. Instructions to Bidders: - Bids must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, June 12, 2026.
