Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Victoria, British Columbia. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
The District is seeking a qualified contractor to complete a playground replacement project at Blair Park. The work involves the demolition and removal of the identified existing play structures, including old sand surfacing followed by the installation of the identified new play equipment, which will be supplied by the District. The new playground will include a new large, mounded hillside slide area that includes two hillside ‘slide’ structures (1m and 2m high), some natural play elements, accessible gravel pathways and stepping stone connections through landscape areas that will be fully prepared for future District-installed sensory and biodiversity planting. Additional scope items include new playground safety surfacing, furniture installation, landscape works, excavation of tree pits for future tree planting and coordination of the design and installation of a new irrigation system to service planting areas and trees.
