Question Deadline 06/16/2026 at 5:00 PM CT The County of Webb, Texas is soliciting sealed competitive bids from qualified contractors for the construction of the State Highway 359 Colonias Street Improvement Project - Welch Road. The Project consists of approximately 0.66 miles of roadway improvements including, but not limited to, asphalt and flex base removal, roadway resurfacing, restoration and rehabilitation, cleaning and sealing joints, placement of Type D Hot Mix Asphalt Concrete Pavement, traffic control, pavement markings, signage, and all appurtenant work necessary to complete the Project in accordance with the plans and specifications. The road to be serviced is paved but requires overlay repairs. Currently, streets in San Carlos II, are unleveled, filled with potholes, and contain multiple fissures. The problems on this road are only intensified by inclement weather including flooding events that make the street unsafe and sometimes unpassable. There is no land purchase/procurement to be completed for easements or rights-of-way. The project will not need clearings, excavations, utility installations, or fencing activities. Construction completion shall occur within one year following Commissioners Court approval and execution of construction contract.
