The Contractor shall undertake and complete the replacement of one pipe arch culvert approximately 6.0 m wide x 2.6 m high with a length of 20.0 m. The Existing Culvert is located in the Sudbury District on Fox Lake Road at UTM coordinates 17U N5163699 E453650. The structure is a double lane, single span arch culvert. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, the Contractor will replace the Existing Culvert with an 18.3 m long x 4.8 m wide standard MNR steel stringer bridge with timber deck. As further detailed in (and without limiting) the General Conditions set out in Schedule 6, the Work shall include: - Traffic control measures for a single lane temporary access road. - Installation and maintenance of all sediment and erosion control measures. - The removal and disposal of trees, shrubs, and vegetation gathering around the embankments of the existing culvert. - The placement of a bypass culvert, under a short-term closure, to facilitate the upstream flow across the site during construction activities. - The removal and disposal of the existing culvert and the placement of the proposed bridge as specified in the Contract Drawings and Specifications. - The removal of the temporary bypass culvert and road. - The grading of embankments and installation of slope protection to be placed Event sitewalkthrough :Access to the site is via Old Cartier Road off Highway 144, continuing onto Fox Lake Road. The culvert is located approximately 13 kilometres southwest of the Town of Cartier and 16 kilometres northwest of Windy Lake Provincial Park.
