Site work and renovation of a library in Schertz, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a library; and for site work for a library.

Estimated cost range is $210,000 - $260,000 A. The work proposed in this contract includes, but is not limited to the following improvements: 1. Excavation and removal of existing HDPE retainer panel around perimeter of Schertz Public Library foundation. Include removal of existing sidewalk and pavers in conflict with improvement, approximate trench width of 4-feet. 2. Installation of new precast concrete soil retainer panels, approximately 905 linear feet, back fill and compact 3. Remove pavers for limits shown in plans in conjunction with or addition to the trench restoration limits. Restoration of removed pavers, approximately 1,590 square feet within courtyard and patio, with stamped and stained concrete sidewalk. City to approve the color. 4. Replacement of removed pavement and sidewalks as shown in plans. 5. Revegetation per landscape plans. 6. Restoration of irrigation system as shown in plans. 7. Clean up and site restoration. B. The CONTRACTOR shall include in his Bid Proposal all labor, equipment, material, tools, supplies, and incidentals necessary to complete all work required by this Contract in accordance with the included plans, specifications and referenced documents. C. All work done under this Contract shall conform to all local ordinances. CONTRACTOR shall arrange and pay all cost of permits and inspection fees and shall confine his operations to the limits set by law. D. The CONTRACTOR shall take care to protect existing trees in accordance with the City Schertz Standards. He shall avoid damage to mature trees and native brush and shall replace any vegetation, which requires removal with equivalent vegetation. E. It is the intent of the OWNER to award this project to one CONTRACTOR. F. Portions of this project may be subject to review and acceptance by various agencies. The CONTRACTOR will be required to coordinate with these agencies for such items as issuance of permits or work orders, inspections during construction, and final acceptance. The agencies for this project that may require coordination include but are not limited to the following: 1. City of Schertz Public Works Department 2. City of Schertz Parks and Recreation 3. City of Schertz Public Library Staff G. Contract time for this project shall be 240 calendar days.
