Sealed proposals are sought for furnishing all labor and materials and performing all work required for the following: GRADE, DRAIN, BASE & PAVE COUNTY RD 65 FROM COUNTY RD 28 TO COUNTY RD 32. The project allows two hundred (200) working days for construction. Bids must be submitted on blank forms provided in the specifications with the contract booklet included in its entirety. A cashier's check drawn on an Alabama bank or a Bidder's Bond payable to Baldwin County, Alabama, for an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount bid, but not more than ten thousand dollars ($10,000), must be filed with the proposal. The bidder's bond must be on the specified form and signed by a bonding company authorized to do business in the State of Alabama. Performance and payment bonds for 100 percent of the contract price are required at contract signing. The successful bidder must provide a certificate of insurance coverage as specified. The project is federally funded through the Alabama Hurricane Sally-Zeta CDBG-DR Program and Baldwin County funds. Requirements include compliance with employment conditions, minimum wage rates, Davis Bacon Wage Rates, and all qualifications and licensing as required by Alabama law.
