The purpose is the purchase of firm and competitively-priced electricity supply from a qualified energy provider (referred to as the Bidder) and the prequalification of bidders for future electricity transactions. Only bidders designated as being in good financial standing and prequalified will be invited to bid on the client's requirements. The requirements period will be five years, with the option to extend for an additional two years, for a total of seven years from the RFP issue date.
