Bids are requested for the Airplex Commerce Center Sanitary Sewer project. All bids must be submitted electronically using the Ion Wave Technologies system, before the stated deadline. Mailed, emailed, faxed, hand-delivered or late bids will not be accepted. Bid Responses must be properly executed on the forms provided. The Contractor's Bid For Public Work - Form 96 and the notarized Comprehensive Compliance Form (CCF) must be included with each bid. The CCF covers requirements related to Affirmative Action, Disqualification of Contracts with the Government of Iran, a Drug Free Workplace, OSHA and IOSHA Regulations, and Employment Eligibility Verification. Failure to submit the CCF is a material defect. A bid bond or certified check for 10% of the bid amount, payable to the City of Columbus, is required, and a digital copy should be uploaded with the bid. The original bid bond must be submitted within 72 hours of bid opening if selected as the apparent low bidder. All bonds must be from a qualified bonding company. The apparent low bidder will be required to provide a 100% performance and payment bond, certificate of insurance, and be ready to promptly enter a construction contract and begin work. The Board of Public Works and Safety reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive informalities, or cancel the solicitation. Contract documents, including detailed drawings, plans, and specifications, are available online. All questions must be submitted electronically through Ion Wave for access by all bidders. No questions will be answered by other means.
