The City of New Albany requests proposals from qualified firms or individuals to provide engineering services for work related to an infrastructure drainage project with potential funding from the Appalachian Regional Commission, Delta Regional Authority, and/or other federal/state funding agencies. The scope of work includes the preparation of a preliminary cost estimate to be used in the application and project engineering services if the project is awarded. The Engineer will be responsible for performing all engineering services through project closeout in accordance with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and policies. The scope of work includes but is not limited to: preparing a preliminary cost estimate and preliminary engineering report; if grant is awarded, preparing plans and specifications, distributing bid documents, assisting in bid opening and preparing bid tabulation, assisting in the execution of construction contracts, holding a preconstruction conference, performing construction inspection including periodic reports to the City of New Albany, and approving all payment requests. Proposals must address qualifications of personnel assigned to the project, relevant experience including previous projects and their status, and capacity for performance identifying staff assigned. Proposals should be submitted in a sealed envelope marked "Proposal for ARC/DRA Engineering Services" and will be evaluated on qualifications, experience, and capacity for performance.
