Renovation of a fire / police facility in Nutley, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.

The project consists of interior alterations to the existing dormitory area which will create a new hallway to separate the area from the garage. Repairs and patchwork will be done to immediate surrounding areas of work. Electrical and HVAC work shall also be done as a part of the contract. Work includes all items outlined in the Bid Documents, Specifications, and accompanying drawings. Bids shall be submitted on the forms provided, in the manner designated therein and required by the Specifications. Bidders must submit one original bid package and three copies. They must be enclosed in sealed envelopes, bearing the name and address of the bidder and the name of the project on the outside, addressed to the Municipal Clerk c/o Township of Nutley "Township of Nutley Dormitory Renovations" and must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond in the form provided of not less than 10% of the amount of bid. Said check or bid bond may not be less than $500 nor shall it be more than $20,000 and must be accompanied by a Consent of Surety statement in the form provided from a Surety Company stating that the Surety Company will provide the bidder with a bond for 100% of the Contract amount in the event that the Contract is awarded to the bidder. The contractor must abide by the provisions of the Federal Labor Standards which are included as a part of the conditions of the contract. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of NJSA 10:5-31 et seq. and NJAC 17:27 for an affirmative action program for equal employment opportunity. Bidders must also comply with the requirements of P.L. 1977, Chapter 33 amending the Local Public Contracts Law. Bidders must submit a statement setting forth the names and addresses of all the stockholders in the corporation or members of the partnership who own ten percent or more of its stock or have a ten percent or greater interest in the case of partnership. No bid may be withdrawn for sixty days after the opening of bids. A contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder, or all proposals will be rejected within sixty days after the opening of bids. The Township of Nutley reserves the right to reject all bids, to reject unbalanced bids, and to waive any informality in any bid. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
