This is a service / maintenance or supply contract in Kenansville, North Carolina. Contact the soliciting agency for additional information.

The Duplin County Board of Commissioners is seeking proposals for stream debris removal on the Northeast Cape Fear River in Duplin County, North Carolina. Stream debris removal consists of removing and disposing of trees, logs, stumps, snags, shrubs, brush, aquatic weeds, and other obstructions from the flow area of the natural or excavated channel. Removed debris must be placed a minimum of 20 feet from the edge of the stream on the same side that it originated. Trees leaning over the channel at an angle greater than 30 degrees from vertical that are dead, severely undercut, have damaged root systems, or rely on adjacent vegetation for support and are likely to fall and create a blockage within one year must also be removed. Work sites will be coordinated and prioritized with Duplin County NRCS/Soil and Water Conservation personnel prior to work commencement. All required permits must be secured before work begins at each site. Failure to complete work by March 31, 2027, will result in liquidated damages at a rate of $200 per day. Proposals must be received at the Duplin County NRCS/Soil and Water Conservation District Office by the specified deadline, and proposal envelopes should be marked as indicated.
