This Request for Quotations (RFQ) is an invitation by the Halifax Regional Water Commission to prospective respondents to submit quotations for Bennery Lake Water Supply Plant High Lift Pumps and Replacement – Equipment Pre-Purchase, as further described in Section A of the RFQ Particulars (Appendix B) (the Deliverables). Submission instructions indicate online submissions only, in English unless otherwise specified, with access to certain bid documents requiring registration. There is no cost to obtain an unsecured version of the document or to participate in the solicitation. Respondents are encouraged to attend an optional site visit to prepare cost and schedule estimate for the scope of work. Site visit will be held at at 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Atlantic time on June 16, 2026. If interested in participating in this site visit, Respondents are requested to confirm attendance by messaging to the Procurement Officer via Bids & Tenders portal before June 15, 2026, 2:00 PM, Atlantic time. If there are no Respondents registered, the site visit will be cancelled. There are to be NO photos taken while onsite for the site visit. Each Respondent acknowledges that because the site, which is not accessible by the general public, or portions thereof, may be in use, unforeseen circumstances can arise and Halifax Water may, in its discretion, cancel or reschedule any site visit, or otherwise change any site visit on short notice or no notice to the Respondent and Respondent team member or their representatives. Halifax Water requires that a Halifax Water representative be present to lead and monitor the Respondent’s activities during the optional site visit. Separate individual tours will not be granted. Questions may be asked; however, no minutes of the meeting will be distributed. Any answers provided during the meeting in response to Respondent inquiries will not be legally binding and do not form part of the RFQ document. Respondent questions must be formally submitted in writing through the bidding system in accordance with the RFQ rules as set out in this RFQ. All respondents interested in participating in site visits will be required to abide by Halifax Water Protocols including all Provincial and Federal guidelines, Occupational Health and Safety Regulations and Safe Work Procedures. Hard hats, CSA footwear, safety glasses, and hearing protection are mandatory for the site visit. The cost of visiting the Site and all expenses incurred shall be at the Respondent’s own expense.
