Construction of a new Metro Entrance Pedestrian Access Control Point (MEPACP) at the Pentagon, consisting of an approximately 18,400 square foot personnel screening facility designed to accommodate security screening equipment and support operations in compliance with federal security requirements, including HSPD-12 and ISMP. The work includes replacing the existing Employee Entrance Screening Facility to improve operational efficiency and personnel flow, along with managing complex site conditions such as construction over an active WMATA Metro tunnel, potential contaminated soil remediation, and pre-construction utility monitoring. The contractor will perform all associated construction activities under a Design-Bid-Build delivery method, including site preparation, maintenance of traffic, safety and environmental controls, and execution of multi-shift work schedules to meet project timelines, as well as handling delegated design elements and complying with Project Labor Agreement requirements and secure handling of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) in accordance with applicable NIST standards.
