The Jackson County Conservation District is soliciting bids from qualified septic installers in Jackson County for the installation of septic systems. The successful bidder will be required to complete the installation of the systems within sixty days of the award date. Liability insurance in the amount of $300,000 and proof of worker's compensation insurance or a notarized worker's compensation exemption form are required with each bid. Bid forms, worker's compensation exemption forms, and site evaluation results from the Health Department are available from the Conservation District. Interested installers should send statements and proposals to the Conservation District by the specified deadline. A selection committee will review and rate each bid. The Conservation District will contact the installer with the winning bid and enter into negotiations. If an agreement cannot be reached, the next ranked installer will be contacted. All unsuccessful installers will be notified. The selection process will adhere to non-discrimination provisions outlined in Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Section 3.
