Site work and new construction of a transportation facility in Frankfort, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the construction of a 9,600-square-foot transportation facility.
The Kentucky Department of Aviation is proposing to construct two 60’ x 80’ pre-engineered metal box hangars adjacent to an existing apron at Capital City Airport in Frankfort, Kentucky. Each hangar will include a unisex restroom, electric, and heating. The project will also involve grading, drainage, concrete pavement, asphalt mill and overlay, utility work, and associated site improvements. Bids are to be submitted by Prime Contractors on a Lump Sum Bid Basis for the total project. All phases of work must be bid through Prime Contracting Firms using the official bid document form. Bids not meeting these requirements will be invalid. The award will be issued to the lowest-cost responsive and responsible bidder. The project will be carried out under the regulations for construction of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Contractors must comply with Kentucky workers’ compensation insurance requirements and the preferences for Kentucky resident bidders as outlined by law.
