Site work and paving for a road / highway in Lebanon, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
Sealed proposals are requested for a paving project covering all labor, equipment, materials, and incidental costs at the prevailing wage rate for several designated street sections. The options include: • Park Drive: Oak Street S. to City Line • Park Drive: City Line S. to Northfield Drive • Agnes Street: Roth Street W. to 16th Street • 22nd Street: Oak Street N. to City Line (N. side at Walnut Alley) • Foster/Plum Street: Chestnut Street S. to Walnut Street For each option, work includes mobilization, milling and prepping 2 inches, placement of superpave asphalt base and wear courses, application of sealant at all curblines, joints, seams, manholes, and other pavement penetrations with proper tie-ins, and potential base repair as determined during a pre-construction meeting. All quantities listed are estimated and final payments are based on actual field measurements. A certified check, bank draft, negotiable U.S. government bonds, or a satisfactory bid bond amounting to 10% of the total bid must be submitted with each bid. Bids must be unconditional and may not be withdrawn for 60 days after the closing time. Minimum salaries and wages are required, and all work and employment practices must comply with non-discrimination provisions. All work and materials must conform to PennDOT standards and specifications. The contractor is responsible for maintenance and protection of traffic in accordance with PennDOT Publication 213 and MUTCD standards. Bidders must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws including the Pennsylvania Public Works Employment Verification Act. Bidders are required to provide documentary evidence of solicitations and commitments to minority and women business enterprises (MBE 5%, WBE 3%), and non-discrimination in all contracts. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder, but the city reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals. All work must be completed within 45 calendar days from notice to proceed and not later than the specified project completion date. All compliance and documentation requirements must be met.
