Professional engineering services will be required on a continuing basis for the District's public improvements authorized by Chapter 190, Florida Statutes. The engineering firm selected will act in the general capacity of District Engineer and provide District engineering services as needed. Applicants must hold applicable federal, state, and local licenses; be authorized to do business in Florida; and furnish a statement of qualifications and past experience using Standard Form No. 330, with supporting data. Applicants are required to submit information on their professional personnel, minority business certification (if applicable), willingness to meet time and budget requirements, past experience and performance (specifically with community development districts and with Polk County), geographic location of offices, current and projected workloads, and volume of previous work with the District. The individual responsible for District meetings, construction services, and engineering tasks must be identified. Applicants must submit one original and one copy of the required forms and statements. The Board will select and rank applicants based on requirements and evaluation criteria, negotiating with the highest ranked applicant first. The District reserves the right to reject any and all qualification statements and is under no obligation to reimburse applicants for any expenses related to their submission.
