Sealed proposals are requested for the DSS Chiller & Cooling Tower Replacement project at the Forsyth County DSS Power Plant. The work includes replacement of six 2MBH boilers with two 3MBH boilers, replacement of the cooling tower serving the Carrier chiller, and replacement of the Carrier chiller. The systems have reached the end of their useful life and require replacement. Bidders must have the appropriate specialty, electrical, or HVAC license as required. A 5% Bid Bond is required at the time of bid, and 100% Performance & Payment Bonds will be required of the awarded contractor. The M/WBE subcontracting goals are 10% MBE and WBE cumulatively. Bidders must attend a mandatory pre-bid conference to observe existing conditions and work parameters. Less than three bids will require the project to be re-advertised. Forsyth County reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.
