Fire sprinkler repair services are required to correct deficiencies identified during the 2025 annual inspection and testing. The work includes extensive repair, replacement, relocation, and correction of wet pipe and standpipe fire sprinkler system components across multiple buildings and floors. Tasks involve replacing aged, corroded, missing, painted, improperly spaced, or damaged sprinkler heads, trims, valves, hose valves, drain valves, and related fittings; correcting cold solder conditions; lowering or relocating sprinklers as required; installing temporary or permanent system components; and addressing leaks and mechanical deficiencies. Work also includes limited piping modifications, valve replacements, and coordination for electrical interfaces where noted. Repairs must maintain system integrity and comply with all applicable VA requirements, NFPA standards (including NFPA 25, 99, and 101), OSHA regulations, UFC, manufacturer specifications, and other governing codes. Documentation of all inspections, testing, and maintenance is required. The contractor is responsible for providing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, personal protective equipment, and licensed personnel necessary to perform the work safely and effectively. Work must be coordinated to minimize disruption to hospital operations, with some work required during night hours and in sensitive clinical areas. The contractor must comply with all safety, asbestos, confined space, and infection control requirements, including providing certified sprinkler fitters, apprentices, fire alarm technicians during applicable activities, and maintaining required state licenses, C-16 Fire Protection Contractor certification, asbestos training, fit testing, and insurance. All work is performed under a firm fixed price contract during normal working hours unless otherwise approved, with monthly invoicing in accordance with VA electronic invoicing requirements.
