Separate sealed bids are requested for the Kelly Park Pedestrian Bridge. The project includes furnishing and installing a pedestrian bridge over Paramour Creek in Kelly Park. The bridge and abutments must be designed by an Ohio Registered Professional Engineer contracted by the contractor, with stamped drawings provided. Additional work involves approach sidewalks, rock channel protection slope protection, minor bank grading, and erosion control. Bidders are required to purchase and download bid documents from the KEM website to be eligible to submit a bid. All bid documents become the property of the prospective bidder with no refunds. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid and Performance Payment Bond equal to 100% of the bid, or a cashier's check, bid bond, or letter of credit in the amount of 10% of the bid, executed by an approved surety company. Each bid must list the full name of all parties involved. Contractors and subcontractors must use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor to the extent practicable. Compliance with Ohio equal employment opportunity requirements, the Governor's Executive Orders, and prevailing wage rates is required. The contract will be awarded based on the lowest and best bid, and the Village reserves the right to waive irregularities or reject any or all bids for any reason without disclosure. The estimated cost of the construction is $222,000.00. The Owner intends and requires that this project be completed by November 30, 2026.
