Description

Renovation of an educational facility in Upperglade, West Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

In general, the work includes construction of a new sanitary line in the south wing of the school, and other work indicated in the bidding documents. Sealed bids will be received by the Webster County Board of Education. Only full sets of the bidding documents will be issued. Bidders must pay a non-refundable document access fee, and with payment, will be listed as registered bidding document holders. All requests for information, substitution requests, and correspondence must be submitted in writing to the Architect. Addenda will be sent only to registered bidding document holders. Additional paper copies of documents or addenda are available upon request and payment. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held for all potential bidders. Bidders may also examine documents at the plan rooms or at the offices of the Owner and Architect. A bid bond in the amount of 5% of the bid is required. The successful bidder must also provide and pay for a 100% performance and labor and material payment bond. Bids may not be withdrawn for thirty days without the consent of the Owner. Contractors and subcontractors must utilize local labor per the West Virginia Jobs Act. All contractors must be licensed in West Virginia, and the license number must be included in bids and contracts. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and make selections in its own best interest.
