Microtunneling works required for the Downtown Brampton Flood Protection Project, in accordance with the attached drawings and specifications. The work to be performed under this contract consists of all work shown on the Contract Documents, and includes but is not limited to the following: 1. Furnish labour, materials, tools, equipment, hoisting, insurance, taxes, licenses, safety equipment, temporary power, general requirements, waste removal, competent supervision, office management, and all else necessary to perform microtunneling operations, including but not limited to, a. Supply and installation of retaining walls, temporary concrete shafts, reinforced concrete pipes, grouting of temporary shafts, dewatering and conveyance to Water Treatmant (if Required), winter heating and winter-related maintenance works as required, as specified herein and per the contract documents, for the complete and proper execution of the works; b. Supply and installation of water mains (temporary and/ or permanent as required), connections of new utilities to existing and/or new services (as required), and excavation and backfill of all utility trenches, dewatering and conveyance to Water Treatment (if required), and management of excavated soils, all as per contract documents; c. Pressure testing, chlorination, and bacteriological testing as per Contract documents; d. Permits which may be required for the completion of the work (road cut permits, sanitary discharge permits, closure permits, etc..) e.
