Description

Renovation of an educational facility in Faribault, Minnesota. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

The work will be done under one prime contract that includes General, Mechanical, Demolition, and Electrical construction. Each wing is approximately 5,500 square feet, with major bathroom renovation entailing approximately 1,200 square feet each. The dorm is to receive furred out walls allowing for a substantial finish and update package throughout. The project also updates the public areas of the dorms including the kitchen, dining, lounge, and staff office. The renovation will open existing separated spaces into communal and welcoming areas. The work will be carried out in 3 phases, one for each dorm wing, with separate dates of substantial completion. This solicitation includes required insurance as recommended for the project's specifications and scope of work. There is a 5% Targeted Group, Economically Disadvantaged, Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (TG ED VO) subcontracting goal. Responding companies must have completed as a Prime Contractor at least three contracts of similar scope and value ($1,750,000 or greater) since June 1, 2021, with substantial completion. The Project Manager and Job Superintendent must each have at least ten years of experience in general construction of similar scope and value, with contracts of $1,750,000 or greater. All responses must be submitted via QuestCDN Plan Room. The Section 00 41 73 Prime Contractor Response Form and all applicable attachments must be completed and uploaded with the bid.
