Remove one existing boardwalk system and construct one new boardwalk system within the Ocala National Forest. The new boardwalk system will utilize a modular system with post-on-pin foundations. Specialty structures such as overlooks, the kayak launch, and the Pedestrian Truss Bridge are also included in the project. This acquisition is set-aside for small business concerns. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the agency. The general scale of the boardwalk replacement is approximately 3,400 linear feet; the pedestrian bridge is approximately 24 linear feet. Precise measurements and scope are detailed in the project plans and specifications. The project utilizes pin foundation technology to support the boardwalk, with a combination of steel and tropical hardwood structure.
