Renovation of a mixed-use development in Newberry, South Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 12,000-square-foot clubhouse / community center; and educational facility.

Improvements to approximately 12,000 SF of the existing high school at 540 Brantley Street, Newberry, SC 29108, to be used for a community center. Scope includes upgrades to the existing electrical system including new panelboards, upgrades to existing classroom lighting and HVAC (wall units), restroom renovations for accessibility compliance, upgrades to the existing kitchen and cafeteria lighting and HVAC (wall units), upgrades to life safety lighting and fire alarm systems, and new accessible parking spaces at the street and an accessible route to the building. Structural repair design of unknown conditions is excluded. Construction disciplines required include concrete (cast-in-place, curb & gutter, sidewalk), masonry (concrete unit masonry), thermal & moisture protection (weather barriers, joint sealants), doors & windows (hollow metal doors and frames, flush wood doors, access doors and panels, aluminum-framed storefronts), finishes (gypsum board assemblies, tiling, acoustical ceilings, resilient floor and base, tile carpeting), specialties (panel signage, plastic toilet compartments, toilet accessories), plumbing (domestic water piping and pumps, sanitary waste and vent piping, domestic-water heaters), HVAC, and fire alarm systems. All prospective bidders must attend a mandatory pre-bid meeting at the proposed site. Failure to attend will be grounds for rejection of the bid. Submit sealed packets using the required bid envelope label to the specified address. Faxed, e-mailed, or late bids will not be considered. Prices are valid for 60 days.
