Renovation of a detention facility in Shreveport, Louisiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.
Sealed or electronic bids are invited for the City Jail HVAC Controls Upgrade, classified under mechanical and/or heat, air conditioning, ventilation, duct work, and refrigeration. Bidders must submit an acceptable bid bond, cashier’s check, or certified check payable to the City of Shreveport in an amount not less than five percent of the bid, including additive alternates. An original power of attorney must accompany all applicable bonds. The successful bidder will be required to provide a performance bond equal to 100% of the contract amount, a 50% payment bond, and a 10% two-year maintenance bond. All bids of $50,000 or more require the contractor to be licensed under Louisiana Revised Statute 37:2150 et seq., with the license number shown in the bid and on the envelope or designated place in the electronic bid. The licensee may only bid on or perform work included in their license classification. All outstanding taxes, licenses, fees, and other charges due to the City must be paid before the contract is awarded. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids for just cause. Minority business enterprises are encouraged to submit bids and will not be discriminated against based on race, color, sex, or national origin.
