The Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority (SORTA), commonly known as Metro, is soliciting proposals from qualified contractors to provide bus stop shelter installation services across its service area, which includes Hamilton County and portions of Warren, Butler, and Clermont counties. Question Deadline 06/24/2026 at 2:00 PM ET Any questions regarding this solicitation shall be submitted through the e-Procurement Portal. Telephoned questions will not be accepted. Proposers shall not contact any other SORTA personnel regarding any aspect of this solicitation. Any proposer found to have had such contact shall be barred from participation in this solicitation and any subsequent contract, either as a prime contractor or subcontractors. SORTA anticipates that responses to questions submitted will be provided to all known proposers by 4:00 pm on Wednesday, July 1, 2026. If the responses materially alter the terms of this solicitation, they will be incorporated in an amendment to the solicitation. No communication by SORTA or any of its Trustees, officers, employees, agents or representatives shall alter the terms of this solicitation or bind SORTA in any manner, unless incorporated in such an amendment. PHASE ONE - BUS STOP ENHANCEMENTS (51 Locations) Phase One includes the installation of 51 bus shelters across multiple jurisdictions in Hamilton County (see Figure 1). An additional set of 51 locations has been designated as alternates should site constraints prevent installation at primary locations. Sites will vary in ROW conditions, ground conditions, and accessibility requirements.BUS SHELTER DESIGN REQUIREMENTS To maintain consistent branding and ensure efficient use of public right-of-way, Metro will purchase two (2) types of Tolar shelter models. o Shelters will be drop shipped to the awarded vendor for storage. o Shelter procurement will be scheduled based on the approved PMP and installation schedule. o Current lead time from manufacturer, approximately five (5) months. o Shelters are shipped from the manufacturer in full truck load quantities, 15 shelters/truck(total of 4 shipments). o Shelters are shipped FOB destination from manufacturer. o Awarded contractor will store shelters in alignment with approved installation schedule. Procurement of Shelters will be determined upon award. o Pricing will include two (2) options: o Option #1-SORTA to purchase the shelters and ship directly to the awarded contractor;o Option #2-Contractor will purchase shelters.
