Site work for a water / sewer project in Osage Beach, Missouri. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The scope of work includes conducting a comprehensive water distribution leak survey. The project requires a final report containing all leak location reports, diagrams, pictures, estimated water loss, pipe distance investigated, and any problems found in the system. Tasks include contact listening on all fire hydrants, mainline valves, service valves, and meter setters; using ground microphones where valve spacing exceeds the range of direct contact devices; and employing correlators and hydrophones where practical. A log of all suspected leaks must be maintained, with a second verification using pipe locators, correlators, and hydrophones as appropriate. All leak locations must be documented with diagrams including GPS coordinates, all data used to pinpoint the leak, and marked in the field with paint or flags. Pictures of each location must be submitted with diagrams. Daily reports and survey plans are required. The project must be completed within 30 days. For an alternate specification covering the entire area, similar procedures apply, with the addition of using L-Band microwave to spot leakage in subterranean networks, and project completion within 60 days.
