Site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Enfield, New Hampshire. Completed plans call for the construction of a 288-square-foot water / sewer project.
Separate sealed bids are requested for the construction of Marsh Wellfield Improvements, including a new well and pump station. The main work items include site work, well pump and appurtenances for two bedrock wells, connection of wells to a new pump station, construction of a new 12-foot by 24-foot concrete block pump station, associated plumbing, controls, electrical work (including a new standby generator), and other related work items. Bids must be accompanied by a bid security of 5% of the total bid price. The successful bidder must furnish 100% performance and payment bonds and execute the contract agreement within 10 days of notification of bid acceptance. Completion time is set as calendar days from the "Notice to Proceed": 240 days for substantial completion and 270 days for final completion, with liquidated damages of $1,000 per day for delays. Compliance with federal equal employment opportunity requirements, EPA MBE/WBE rules, Davis Bacon wage provisions, and American Iron and Steel requirements is mandatory. The project is funded in part by a loan from the NH Drinking Water State Revolving Fund. No bidder may withdraw a bid within 60 days after opening. Bidders are encouraged to attend a pre-bid conference.
