Demolish existing Headworks and construct a replacement Headworks. The new Headworks will increase screening capacity, provide odor control, and replace critical screening and electrical infrastructure that are severely corroded and unsafe. The Work consists of the following improvements: o Demolition of the existing headworks facility structure and installation of a new covered structure adjacent to the Flow Equalization Basin (FEB). o Installation of two (2) new multi-rake bar screens, washer/compactors, a dumpster, and a bypass channel to replace the existing headworks facility equipment. o Modification of existing gravity belt thickeners. o Installation of magnetic flow meters and air release valves on all influent lines, located in two separate cast in place vaults. o Installation of a biotrickling filter to treat the headworks' foul air stream. o Installation of a receiving station with a quick connect for sludge delivered by AW trucks and secondary containment. o Installation of a new electrical room inside the CoGen Building to house new Motor Control Centers (MCCs) and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC). o Installation of a new electrical room inside the FEB Building to house new MCCs, PLCs, transformers, and control panels. o Installation of a dedicated control room inside the FEB building to house an HMI workstation, PLC, network rack and security rack. o Replacement of the switchgear on the exterior of the CoGen Building. o Installation of new duct bank from the CoGen Building to the FEB Building. o Replacement of existing electrical equipment in the FEB Building, including MCCs and a PLC in the converted boiler room and expanded control room, respectively. o Improvements to the HVAC systems for the headworks facility, CoGen Building, and FEB Building. o Improvements to the security system for the CoGen Building and FEB Building.
