City of Omaha is requesting bids from qualified companies for all work and/or goods set forth in the specifications for Asphalt Mixes (Hot Mix and Cold Patch). Bidders are required to provide a bid bond issued by a surety company licensed by the State of Nebraska and listed on the current edition of Circular 570 of the United States Department of the Treasury. Acceptable substitutes for a bid bond include a certified check, official bank check, cashier's check drawn on a national or state-chartered bank, payable to City of Omaha, lawful money of the United States, or a United States Government Bond (negotiable). Letters of credit are not accepted as substitutes for a bid bond and will result in rejection of the bid. A copy of the bid bond or acceptable substitute must be uploaded with the response, and the original document must be received by the City Clerk at the specified address within seven calendar days of the bid closing date and time. Bidders must submit questions via the Questions tab of the bid event, and questions will be answered within one day after the question cutoff date and time.
