Demolition, site work and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Seguin, Ontario. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel.
The Township of Seguin requires a new steel bridge with timber decking supported with timber bearing pads to be installed on the Seguin Trail between Highway 518 and Nipissing Road East. The scope for these works includes: Provide traffic and environmental controls throughout the duration of the project. Removal and disposal of the existing bridge superstructure, sub structure to remain in place to ensure no in water work. Supply and install timber bearing pads Supply and install new 33.53m (110') steel bridge complete with a timber deck Add new fill and grade new east and west approaches. Supply and install rip rap at water's edge and along the bridge slope. Additionally, prices for the following provisional items should be included: Contingency allowance of $25,000. No bonding will be required as part of this contract. A 10% statutory holdback and a 3% maintenance holdback will be required.
