The purpose of this solicitation is to competitively obtain bids to acquire supplies, services or equipment which complies with the enclosed description and/or specifications and conditions for Richland School District Two for the following project: Tennis Courts Resurfacing & Repair Services. Question Deadline 06/18/2026 at 12:00 PM ET Richland School District Two ("District") is soliciting sealed bids from qualified contractors to provide on-call, as-needed tennis court resurfacing, repair, maintenance, crack repair, leveling, striping, and related athletic court services at various District facilities. The awarded contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, materials, equipment, transportation, permits, tools, and incidentals necessary to perform the work described herein. The intent of this solicitation is to obtain a resurfacing system that restores safe playability, improves drainage and appearance, and extends the useful life of the courts. All work shall comply with current industry standards established by the American Sports Builders Association (ASBA), United States Tennis Association (USTA), applicable ASTM standards, OSHA regulations, EPA regulations, and all applicable state and local codes. There shall be an option to automatically renew for four (4) additional one-year periods unless either party provides, in writing, ninety days (90) days prior to the renewal date their intent not to renew. This contract shall not extend past June 30, 2031. The District currently has tennis courts at its five (5) high schools: Blythewood High School Richland Northeast High School Ridge View High School Spring Valley High School Westwood HIgh School The District reserves the right to add or delete locations during the term of this contract. The District does not guarantee any minimum amount of work under this contract. 5.2. Existing Court Construction Specifications All tennis courts included in this solicitation currently consist of an asphalt pavement base with an acrylic-coated playing surface. Based on District records, the existing court surfacing system is Advanced Polymer Technology (APT) Laykold Colorflex(R) (also known as APT Laykold Colorflex(R)). The information provided regarding the existing surface system is intended to assist bidders in preparing their bids. Contractors shall verify existing conditions during site inspections and shall be responsible for confirming the suitability of all proposed materials and repair methods. Approved manufacturers include: Advanced Polymer Technology (APT) / Laykold Nova Sports USA Acrytech Plexipave California Sports Surfaces RiteWay Crack Repair System All products shall meet current ASBA standards and manufacturer specifications. Crack Repair Non-structural cracks shall be repaired using Nova Sports Patch Binder, Laykold Acrylic Patch Binder, Acrytech systems, or approved equal. Structural Crack Repair Structural cracks shall be repaired using the RiteWay Crack Repair System or approved equal. Resurfacer Coats Contractor shall apply a minimum of one (1) acrylic resurfacer coat. Color Coats Contractor shall apply a minimum of two (2) acrylic color/wearing surface coats. Court Striping All striping shall comply with current USTA standards and governing body requirements. The school district reserves the right to call for representative samples. Sample(s), when required, must be submitted in accordance with the conditions and instructions cited in the body of the solicitation notice.
