Description

Site work for a development in Swansboro, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a development.

Sealed proposals are requested for furnishing labor, material, and equipment for the construction project involving dredging approximately 42,000 cubic yards of material from Cow Channel to a maximum depth of 8.00 feet below mean lower low water level. Beneficial oceanfront placement material is to be placed on the ocean side beach of Bear Island behind a temporary berm to prevent direct discharge into the Atlantic Ocean or any other water body or wetland. All work must comply with the requirements of relevant state and federal agencies. Bids will be received on a single prime, lump sum basis. Proposals must include required forms regarding minority business participation and must be submitted with a 5% bid deposit or bid bond. Performance and payment bonds for 100% of the contract price are required. Contractors must hold proper licenses as per state law, and bids must adhere to state statutes. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities. No bid may be withdrawn for 30 days after submission.
