Site work for a military facility in Rowley, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a military facility.
Fabrication and Installation of new Global War on Terrorism Monument. Complete the installation by August 31, 2026. Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. The Rowley Veterans Committee along with the Rowley Board of Selectmen, designed and approved a new Global War on Terrorism monument. This monument will join the present monuments displayed in front of the Rowley Town Hall memorializing the names etched into the WWI, WWII, Korea, and Vietnam monuments. The purpose of this monument is to display a testament to the courage and sacrifices of the military and civilian lives lost since 9/11. It would ensure that their sacrifices would never be forgotten. It is the Committee's desire that the monument also serve as a reminder that there is a cost to maintaining our freedom and, hopefully, it would unite us regardless of our beliefs and politics. The monument will become a visible part of the Town's identity, which has consistently honored and respected all our veterans. The monument will be sized approximately 51"x34"x10". The monument and base will be fabricated out of Vermont Gray Granite, to match the adjacent monuments. It will be smooth honed on all sides to match the adjacent monuments. The monument is designed to have a bronze plaque, 5 service medallions, and engraving as shown in the attached plans.
